I started my 10 week session in January 2011. I never thought of myself as an athlete I couldn't even run mile in high school. After seeing my husband's great results, I thought I'd give it a shot. I had been doing water aerobics and dance each week, and planned to go back to the pool after my 10 weeks ended. I got hooked about three weeks in, falling in love with the kickboxing and strength training (upper body is my favorite day of the week!). I've been at FXB ever since. I started instructing strength training classes in 2012, and kickboxing in 2013. I love coaching folks helping them tweak their form to get a move just right, and giving them guidance when it comes to nutrition. While I've lost pounds and inches, gained a lot of strength and confidence in myself, my biggest accomplishment from this program has been lowering my cholesterol 89 points.

While I didn't return to water aerobics after my 10-week session, I still do quite a bit of work in the water. My day job is marketing Allen Hospital, but on the weekends, my husband (and fellow FXB instructor) Joe and I are scuba instructors. We travel quite a bit on dive trips we've gone all over the world and seen some amazing stuff. I am also into underwater videography.

I've been in a Middle Eastern dance (aka belly dancing) troupe since 2008. We also are homebrewers we make both beer and wine. Can't wait to see you in class!
